STANDARD AND BESPOKE CABLE GLANDS AND CLEATS

Since launching a product range suitable for the nuclear power industry, CMP has demonstrated its ‘nuclear safety culture’ through internal training specifically tailored to the industry.

CMP Products has been engaged in supplying cable glands to the UK’s power generation industry for close to 60 years. As an approved supplier to the EDF fleet of UK power generation facilities, our products have been used across most UK power stations, including those generating nuclear power (examples include Dungeness B, Hartlepool, Heysham 1 and 2, Hinkley Point B, Hunterston B, Sizewell B, and Torness).

Also achieving ‘Fit4Nuclear’ status (developed by the Nuclear Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre), and with a significant demand for products for the nuclear market, our product line goes from strength to strength.

CMP can provide a mix of standard and bespoke products in all required materials, for all cable formations. Investment has also been made in facilities dedicated to the research and development, design and manufacture of cable cleats.

Our work demonstrates our ability to provide suitably certified and tested products for this complex industry and products are carefully designed and independently tested to give our customers confidence that in the event of a short circuit, they contain the cables without causing harm to people or equipment.

Whether the application is for use in the establishment of a large third generation pressurised water reactor design, commonly referred to as an EPR (known internationally as Evolutionary Power Reactor and European Pressurised Reactor in Europe), or a Small Modular Reactor (SMR), CMP Products has something to offer in the way of suitably reliable cable glands and cable cleats.

Working closely with the client, subcontractors and installers, we ensure there is complete understanding of project requirements, as well as providing installation training sessions, demonstrating best practice methods and hands on product training.
