Making a Difference: CMP Shortlisted for Corporate Charity Partnership Award
Last week, CMP was shortlisted for a highly coveted Corporate Charity Partnership award at the North East Charity Awards 2025 in recognition of our support for our chosen charity, Anxious Minds.
Held at the Fed, in Gateshead on the 11th of September, the annual award ceremony brought together local charities, businesses and individual fundraisers to celebrate the work they have contributed to supporting good causes throughout the North East region.

Over the past year CMP’s Culture Champions have led several fundraising activities, raising just over £16,000 to date for Anxious Minds. The charity is a vital provider of early intervention and sustained mental health support for individuals and families.
As part of these efforts hundreds of our people from across the business took part in a non-stop 36-hour cycle challenge held at our headquarters in Cramlington. Alongside this, our Culture Champions also organised a car wash fundraiser, as well as host raffles and bake sales on a regular basis.
Members of our team have also engaged in donating their time to support Anxious Mind’s woodland clearance and canoe maintenance project, designed to develop a welcoming outdoor space to be used for therapy, group walks and mental health support sessions.
Speaking about being shortlisted for the award, Jade Appleby, Marketing & Communications Manager at CMP said: “We are delighted to have been shortlisted for this award, which highlights our company’s commitment to giving back to our local community. The work Anxious Minds provides within our region is vital providing a dedicated hub of support services for those that need it. Well done to all our people who have dedicated their time and support for this great cause.”
Throughout the course of the year, the company has a fundraising campaign calendar of activities planned, with an ambitious target of raising £25,000 this year to donate to Anxious Minds.
With four community mental health centres, supporting over 2500 people each year, representatives of Anxious Minds have also visited CMP for two days to host sessions with our people to talk about the services offered by the charity, including support groups, therapy sessions, helplines, workshop and recovery centres.
Edward Dean, CEO at Anxious Minds said: “CMP have been nothing short of amazing. The support, kindness, and generosity we’ve received from their team have been second to none. Their volunteers, advice, and encouragement over the year have inspired me to keep pushing forward in our mission, to ensure that anyone facing their darkest hours can find the help they need to move toward a brighter, better future.
“From the bottom of my heart, thank you for everything you’ve done for Anxious Minds.”
We would like to congratulate all very worthy winners of the evening, which showcased a fantastic array of support for great causes within our region.
