CMP Sponsors Technical Skills Learner of the Year award at the TDR Apprenticeship Awards 2026

Last night CMP was proud to attend the TDR Apprenticeship Awards 2026, at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Newcastle, where we sponsored the Technical Skills Learner of the Year award.

The TDR awards ceremony celebrates some outstanding apprentices as well as the employers who support them. With a long history of developing skills in the region and roots in engineering and shapebuilding heritage, TDR plays an important role in nurturing local talent.

At CMP we are proud to support apprentices each year, providing them with the skills and qualifications they need to build successful careers. We were delighted to sponsor, and present the Technical Skills Learner of the Year award, which celebrates learners who show outstanding technical ability, a strong commitment to self-development, and high enthusiasm for building practical skills during their training.

The award was presented by our Divisional Chief Operating Officer, Demos Hoursoglou. A huge congratulations to the winner Kyle O’Donnell, apprentice at OsecoElfab, on a well-deserved win.
