CMP and Azure Turn Partnership into Real Workplace Experience

Real workplace experience can be transformational, as students from Azure Charitable Foundation have experienced over three cohorts, starting from March last year.

Azure is an organisation that has supported young people with special educational needs and disabilities for over 40 years. Their work enables people to live more independently through employment training via workplace partnerships, such as the one with CMP.

The students completed a range of tasks including assembling glands and seals, alongside marking them on the laser machine. With guidance from our experienced operators, they built confidence and skills before progressing to complete the tasks independently.

The feedback received following the students’ placement experience was very positive reiterating the impact of the experience on individuals. One of the students who does not usually instigate conversation openly shared his enthusiasm and positivity about his experience.

Reflecting on the students’ placements, Isaac Nolan, Operations Manager at CMP commented: “We’re proud to support organisations like Azure with work placements, that provide individuals with opportunities to develop their skills.”

Associate Director of Azure, Steve Brown added “We would like to thank all of the team at CMP for the opportunity and support shown to the students, and for CMP’s continued support partnering with Azure”.

CMP looks forward to future opportunities with Azure, as together we strive to shape futures by developing skills with work placements that make a real difference.
