CG | Cord Grip Cable Connector For use with Flexible Cables and Cords in Ordinary, Wet or Hazardous Locations

The CG cable connector series is cULus Listed to the latest editions of UL514B and CSA 22.2 No.18.3-12, for use with all types of flexible cables and cords for installations in accordance with the NEC and CEC. Its wide sealing range reduces the need for multiple connector sizes to cover a varied range of cables.

The CG is supplied complete with an entry thread seal and locknut, for sizes up to 1-1/2”, and is available in Aluminum or Zinc Plated Steel , as standard, with Electroless Nickel Plated Brass and 316L Stainless Steel optional. The product has an operational temperature range of -76°F to 194°F and if additional cable support or retention is required, the CG can easily accommodate a strain relief, making the CMP CG series suitable for use in many harsh and corrosive environments.

  • Fully machined from high grade series 6000 aluminum or zinc plated steel

  • Safe sealing solution manufactured from LSF halogen free thermoset elastomer, with a large temperature range of -76°F to +194°F

CMP Ingress Protection Testing

Some CMP cable gland types have been tested to IP66, whilst other types have been tested to IP66, IP67 & IP68, to an equivalent depth of up to 60 metres for a duration of two weeks. For manufacturers to claim an IP68 protection level it is important that they include both the depth of water and time duration of the test conducted; otherwise the rating would be incomplete and meaningless.
